DairyBook helps dairy businesses keep operational records. This policy explains the information collected in this early access product and how it is handled.
Information we collect
When an owner creates a dairy account, we collect the shop name, owner name, phone number, and optional email address. In SMS mode, account access is verified with a one-time code sent to the phone number. In simulation mode, the shared test code 12345 does not verify phone ownership. The app stores business records entered by the dairy, including supplier and customer details, milk purchases, sales, payments, and account balances. When you pay, we store plan, amount, payment status, transaction UUID, and eSewa reference information to verify the transaction and maintain subscription records. Payment credentials are handled by eSewa and are not stored by DairyBook.
How we use information
We use account information to create and secure your account, provide the ledger, manage trial and subscription status, verify eSewa payments, and respond to support requests. Business records are used to display your dairy’s own ledgers and reports.
Access and sharing
Dairy owners control access for their business. Customer and vendor accounts can view only information provided for their own account. We do not sell personal information. Service providers may process data only to operate and secure the service. eSewa processes payment information under its own policies.
Security and retention
Phone numbers are verified with one-time codes. We use access controls to limit who can see account information. Data is retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period needed for legal, security, payment reconciliation, and recovery purposes.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting DairyBook support. You can use a verified phone number to access your account and switch between dairies that have granted access to that number. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.
